The step part of my round kitchen trash can failed a few days ago.

Inspired by this blog post: http://justjoep.blogspot.com/2009/12/how-to-repair-flip-top-garbage-can.html, I took the thing apart, tried super glue, but to no avail.

Unbelievably, simple human's website sells replacement parts for a vast array of their products, including my deprecated trash can.  For a nominal fee, I received a "revision C" step only a couple of days after I placed the order.  My broken step was labelled "revision B".

Anyways, simplehuman customer service greatly exceeded my expectations.
